    The career development action plan is a road map to help you achieve your career goals. Use this tool as a guide to achieve your career goals. The key is to set up smaller goals to propel you along your path. Individualize your journey while utilizing ideas here to keep you on track for your future!

    Access the Career Development Resource Library

    Current students can browse through the Resource Library on Handshake for help on everything from major exploration and resume guides to LinkedIn profiles and interview preparation.

    Schedule an Appointment

    Students can request an appointment with a Student Success Advisor or Career Development staff member via Handshake, our online career management system.

    1. Log in to Handshake
    2. Select Career Center, then Appointments

     

    Handshake

    Handshake is Edgewood College's online career management system. You can use it to find job and internship opportunities, schedule an appointment with your Student Success Adviser or Career Development staff member, learn about career events, see which employers are hiring, and more.

    Log into Handshake

    • Current students: sign in using your Edgewood email address and password
    • Alumni: if you still have access to your Edgewood email address, sign in using that email and contact the Career Development Department about updating your email to a personal address

    Newsletter and Social Media

    Every week the Career Development Department sends an e-newsletter, the Career Connections Bulletin,  to all undergraduate students. The bulletin contains information on events, workshops, open internship/job opportunities, and tips on how to prepare for the future.

    Upload a Document for Review

    Upload documents, such as resumes or cover letters, for review by a Student Success Advisor. To upload documents:

    1. Log in to Handshake
    2. Click on your initials in the upper right hand corner
    3. Choose Documents/Add New Document.
